Just read the comment by Jade. Thanks, good to know. I wonder, is it likely that D.buzz will affect the legacy Twitter Ites, that may be hanging out (for morbid curiosity), a view of cogent exchanges in full spectrum, which had previously been filtered and replaced by echoes? I don't laud praise on Musk, although I think he is extraordinary and brilliant person by most measures, but I do hope something with that level of recognition gets elevated to compete with YouTube. YT content is massive, often immensely useful, but far too often leaves the best in the sieve in service of the "narrative" Dejour. With that said, I will (ugh) "Google" it to see what's up.

Well, I bet the people at d.buzz have a goal to coax people away from twitter. Getting paid to leave nice comments is very enticing, especially when the funds cannot be stopped by any middleman bankers like with paypal and patreon etc. Going against the narrative on twitter can even get you banned entirely, which can't happen on d.buzz since they use a blockchain.

As for youtube/google, they have the same agenda. Go against the grain and they will demonetize you, ban you, lock you out of your ad-earnings etc. hive-tube has released a plugin that lets you post whatever you want and earn just like d.buzz does it. see sites like vigilante.tv, beetoons.tv, 3speak.tv, theravada.tv, syop.tv, etc who use that plugin on their sites.

The day that someone releases an app that let's you tune into any hive-tube channel on any site (similar to the youtube app) and "Like" your favorite videos is the day that youtube is really screwed. well, paypal and patreon too since hive-tube also supports tipping, and auto-tipping like patreon iirc. the youtube app doesn't pay you anything.
