Marcus hit the nail on the head. As always human nature trumps all the cards in the decks of political and economic organization. If American liberty is freedom plus morality grounded in reverence for life, then freedom is constrained by whatever strictures seek to contain evil as defined by that morality, and the same applies to economic activity. There's no magic in that; people must act. The trick is to encourage sufficient bright exemplars to keep the balance tilted toward liberty and not toward the tyranny of brilliant narcissistic sociopaths and psychopaths. Right now there are not sufficient bright exemplars to balance the bad actors who are clearly in power today. It is a question of morality grounded in reverence for life, and the courage in bright exemplars to create and to defend a polity that sustains liberty and enterprise consistent with that morality.
Mr K gets me at “Not every body will be safe if not every body is vaccinated” .. I would hope he sees the huge error in his thinking at this point! I just listened to a book on audible the last week called the “Indoctrinated Mind” … humans have an immune system that’s got us to 8 billion in population … was it the vaccines that helped us grow so well? I feel there is something very off with him being Mr K … does he have good intentions and intelligence does he care about the mental health of humans? Seems he is living on another planet as far as I can see. I like what Marcus said about the resources being held at the top… I believe the world is abundant and most humans are good people with a number of psychopaths and sociopaths hanging in there. Lyn Alden pointed out on Twitter that “92.5% of equities are held by the top 10% wealthiest Americans. A record high concentration. So where do we go when there is without doubt abundance on earth! I can relate to Marcus Noel’s
contention that the lips are moving but the “they” who is referring to are simply moving their lips but nothing substantial has changed ..
