Top 5 Overlooked Takeaways from Trump’s Inauguration: 'The Golden Age of America Begins NOW'
Why is there no resistance? What happened to the left?
The left is facing an overzealous burnout. They got destroyed in 2016 but still had the energy to gaslight and try and destroy Donald Trump during his first term.
They actually started to succeed thanks to Covid fucking up the economy and George Floyd worship weakening Trump in his final year. Finally, the world was back on course: Biden at the helm, Kamala his brown woman successor, and they thought they had the next 12 years in the bag!
Unfortunately for them, it turns out the average person fucking hates the globalist agenda. We want low prices, criminals off the streets, and a secure border, and we want merit hiring, not DEI nonsense. They elected Biden by sacrificing the media's credibility, and after the media lied to them that Kamala would win, nobody watches CNN or MSNBC anymore.
Now the Overton window is shifting right. The fact that center-right thought leaders like Vivek Ramaswamy and Elon Musk were getting canceled over Christmas by the new right for their pro-immigration stance says that culture is moving rightwards.
Like Elon Musk said, "We are the media now.”
And the media and the masses want Donald Trump.
So here are the top five overlooked takeaways from Trump’s first day I don’t see being talked about on the internet:
1. Laken Riley Act Details and H1-Bs
Today the House will take up the Laken Riley Act. The Senate, strangely, amended the bill to be more aggressive against illegals (I cannot remember the Senate ever before making a bill better, but it's a new world), so either the House must pass an identical bill, or it will go to a conference committee.
This new bill includes:
State AGs to Sue President: The Laken Riley Act allowing state AGs to sue Presidents to block "legal" migrants. An incredible bit of defense to protect against future bad Presidents.
Mandatory Detention for Theft-Related Offenses: Requires the Department of Homeland Security to detain illegal immigrants who have been arrested for theft-related crimes regardless of whether they have been convicted.
As for H-1B visas, which allow legal migrant workers in, the argument is Trump has always been about LEGAL immigration, not illegal, LEGAL. Trump, in his own words, supports legal immigration via H-1Bs.
I really think this debate (legal vs illegal) is going to shape the next four years of MAGA. The one thing I do agree with is that American culture shouldn’t be a slave caste system like India. There are higher values than monetary gain.
Funny how they never offer a compromise to the American people who want America to compete but not upend the culture at the same time.
2. American Dream or American Nightmare?
Future FBI Director Kash Patel declared that the American Dream does not belong to the American people and their children but to THE ENTIRE WORLD.
Kash Patel is amazing. I highly recommend his documentary “Government Gangsters” with Steve Bannon covering the political persecution against Donald Trump during 2017-2020.
Yet this is further proof immigration policy, both legal and illegal, is poised to dominate Trump’s agenda in the coming term. Bannon, never one for half-measures, is already stirring the pot.
After co-producing "Government Gangsters" with Patel, he’s now openly calling for a total freeze on immigration, regardless of status, throwing gasoline on an already incendiary issue.
Pay attention to this; it will be even more contentious months from now.
3. Putin Tells Trump Keep Hands off Panama
Stay in your lane little Donny. You have been warned:
Trump wants the Panama Canal to be renamed the American Canal. The story of why he wants it goes that Panama took predatory loans from China, allowing China to take over the canal, which the US and France built.
“We can't allow that. We want the benefits of what WE built,” Trump has said.
To be fair to Russians, they are only being honest based on the original agreement (but you could argue this is broken due to Chinese involvement):
"In this regard, we emphasize: according to the amendments made by the United States and Panama to the treaty in October 1977, each of the two countries must protect the canal from any threat to the neutrality regime. At the same time, a reservation was made that the said right of the United States to defend the Panama Canal does not mean and should not be interpreted as the right to interfere in the internal affairs of Panama, and any actions by the American side will never be directed against the territorial integrity or political independence of Panama.”
4. Trump Ghosts Crypto
Bitcoin and other altcoins hit record highs on January 20th, driven by rosy expectations of a pro-crypto administration.
It didn’t last. The anxiously awaited Bitcoin reserve or regulatory crypto overhaul never materialized, shoving the industry into the shadows.
Moreover, Trump’s cryptocurrency, a meme coin named $TRUMP sucked all the air out of crypto. After launching at $6.50 just days before the inauguration, the token skyrocketed to $74.59, with its market valuation exceeding $14 billion.
What makes $TRUMP look like a scam is that 80% of $TRUMP tokens are controlled by Trump-linked entities, prompting ethical questions about his direct involvement. So, we’ll see what Trump does for crypto. As always, this is a long term play.
5. If You're a Democrat, What Does The Left Have to Get Excited About?
Why is there no resistance to Trump? What happened to the left?
Why is there no fight at all?
The left is buck broken and demoralized; they know that their prime is in the past; they realize that they've pissed off a large portion of Gen Z and that there is no going back.
Turns out that Trump's success is largely about policy, and the democratic party has no policies outside of hate whitey + gibs to minority communities.
They only managed to squeak Biden into office in 2020 by blue state governors artificially prolonging COVID to hurt Trump's economy, and many have alleged irregularities in the 2020 vote counts caused by ballot harvesting and vote by mail.
Leftist policies were so bad Democrats had to appeal to the same Trump policies they decried as racist years prior.
Now, in the wake of 2025, where Trump was supposed to be shamed and destroyed legally and financially and usher in the first female colored president, they saw Trump not only win but expand his electoral counts and win the popular vote.
They are burnt the fuck out! Lacking cope, they are starting to lose the culture war, and they can only hide away in places like Reddit echo chambers.
Oddly enough, I respect radical leftists. At least they have views that make sense like opposing the Israel lobby, fighting for Palestine, criticizing billionaire oligarchs. But anyone who voted for Kamala really is lost.
tl;dr they are extremely blackpilled
Expect a crazy next four years. The left will be pivotal, whether as sparring partners or architects of their own narratives. Watch closely.
Well, I think you're a little off on point 4, unless you're limiting it to Inauguration Day.
Day 2: Ross Ulbricht receives a full pardon.
So, here's the top overlooked item from Day 2:
1. Ross should get his Bitcoin back. No one's talking about this. Here's Supreme Court authority on the effect of a pardon: Knote v. United States, 95 U.S. 149, 154 (1877) (Where, however, property condemned, or its proceeds, have not thus vested, but remain under control of the Executive, or of officers subject to his orders, or are in the custody of the judicial tribunals, the property will be restored or its proceeds delivered to the original owner, upon his full pardon. The property and the proceeds are not considered as so absolutely vesting in third parties or in the United States as to be unaffected by the pardon until they have passed out of the jurisdiction of the officer or tribunal. The proceeds have thus passed when paid over to the individual entitled to them, in the one case, or are covered into the treasury, in the other.)
