Fuck Capitalism. Corporations are evil. Eat the rich.
Oh look, it's June, time for the soulless evil corporations to put rainbows to fool you into thinking they care. And the same Americans "against capitalism" buy right into this act, even if they see through the veil:
You can perfectly embrace your LGBT+ identity without endorsing rainbow capitalism; don't mistake the corporate "celebration" as genuine appreciation. They're only reveling in the cash you haul in.
It's a strange world. The people who wanted to control private behavior and speech were once alt-right Jesus freaks in the 1980s like Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson; now it's the woke crowd. The 1980s progressives decades later have turned into a woke version of the 1980s Christian Right. Truly a sad state of affairs.
Harvey Milk and Marsha P. Johnson put their necks on the line for LGBTQ+ rights when it was subversive to do so. Today, their legacies are being worn like cheap Disney t-shirts. It's not just a problem during Pride Month either; Black History Month has become a symbolic gesture that placates a handful of folks.
Gay and Black history are integral parts of American history. But let's not kid ourselves. Squeezing both into one month is a pathetic charade for companies to score ESG brownie points.
NYC Pride Parade 2023
"As far as I’m concerned, pride isn’t prideful without those things. Without the unfettered, free expression of queerness, difference, diversity."
- Rabbi Nikki Deblosi, Pride is not a rainbow. It’s a riot
I reported on NYC's pride month in 2019 for USA Today. It was a blast. But I couldn't help but notice something interesting when I asked about the current movement's opponents: patriarchy, conservatives, and white racist men.
It's the same problem with Black Americans: why does the current struggle always need to be against other average Americans, not systems? I've traveled to 40 states and you know what I found? A nation filled with diversity. There are gay conservatives, Black conservatives, those against pride parades, and those for it.
We are creating new religions.
Believe in everything we believe and then you may enter our group. Dogma.
I think one term that explains it pretty well is "progressive stack" or, in the woke vernacular, "intersectionalism." Basically the yard sign that says: "in this house we believe love is love, no human is illegal, science is real."
It's an integrated set of viewpoints unified by an amorphous third-wave feminism emphasis on dismantling the existing system. It was created to deliberately lead society into a dead end by virtue of its emphasis on dismantling, as opposed to providing or suggesting viable solutions.
It also goes by the term "Cultural Marxism."
An ideology that assumes any observable differences between people is not only "socially constructed" but constructed explicitly by one class to maintain unfair privileges over others.
You know the types: Trotsky, Marcuse, Adorno, Horkheimer, Dworkin, DeAngelo, Wise, Colours, Kendi. They preach that all of history and every aspect of social relations can be explained as series of struggles between oppressed/exploited classes against classes of oppressors/exploiters.
Marxist dictator Vladimir Lenin's idea was to foment revolution by angering the population about injustices, especially, get this, police brutality. That's what he said in "What Is to Be Done?" in 1902.
Lenin said the factory workers were oppressed.
Mao said the peasants were oppressed.
Wokeists say gays, trans, Blacks, illegals, and women are oppressed.
Wokeism is just a new copy-paste version of Marxism-Leninism-Maoism.
Let me get back on track. Contrary to popular belief, your adversaries aren't everyday people who don't agree with your every opinion. Disagreement is natural, healthy, and doesn't equate to malice.
Those who pose a real threat are the clandestine systems lurking within both public and private sectors: behemoths such as BlackRock, Vanguard, State Street, the Military-Industrial Complex, those who intimidate journalists like Presidents, globalist entities like the WEF and the Central Banks, and fervent political leaders, on both sides, pitting average Americans against each other.
But I’m able to admit part of this could be sophistry.
Maybe Pride Month and Black History Month are fine and I'm outdated. Back in the day, people thought it was okay for kids to be slaving away in coal mines. Now we're debating whether or not it's okay to hit them. Times change. Personally, I'd prefer we have a civilized chat rather than flinging shit at each other over on Twitter. That's all I'm calling for. Have a great day!
I’m trying a new video format for Wednesday, so stay tuned!
An enlightening piece indeed.
I said this from the very beginning. When BLM as a grass roots org took flight and zoomed into the stratosphere, I knew something was up. Then it got overhauled by LGBTQ+ and again reaching the stratospheric heights, only to fly to0 close to the sun. #ICARUS
