The documentary "What is a Woman?" is transphobic dogshit.
Matt Walsh, director of the transphobic movie and self-described “Theocratic Fascist” and “Transphobe of the Year,” is perhaps the most egregious far-right agitator.
And...
And.
LOL.
I don't believe any of that shit. It's what the Stanford Daily school paper stereotyped him as. But I do believe that the documentary “What is a Woman?” is contentious, offensive and, ultimately, a question that needs to be asked —whether you agree with Mr. Walsh or not.
It’s the most salient documentary of the decade.
Can we retire the phrase sticks and stones, by the way?
The world is so soft now that we have to be careful about what words and phrases or topics we discuss. No one wants to be accused of racism, transphobia or bigotry. God forbid!
Listen, at the end of the day, I want to have a dialogue about hotly debated subjects.
Talk. Speech. I don't care if it offends you.
I want to figure this world out, and not live in fear of what I can or can’t say. With that said, "What is a Woman?"
So, What is a Woman?
Here's what I knew before watching the documentary:
Until a few years ago, "gender dysphoria" was vanishingly rare. It was typically found in less than .01 percent of the population and affected males almost exclusively; now, girls constitute the majority.
Typically if you left someone alone suffering from gender dysphoria by age 18, 80% would say they were gay. (Could this be because gender dysphoria was so uncommon? Certainly up for debate)
Detransitioner like Chloe Cole are beginning to sue hospitals 'for pushing them into medical mutilation' during childhood.
Let me say upfront I have nothing against transgenderism or LGBT+ rights.
I live in New York City. I have gay friends, and I have transgender friends. The gay pride parade pretty much passes my doorstep every day.
That said, "What is a Woman?" is an ontological question.
In the Platonic sense, you need definitions for words —especially the ubiquitous ones — because that's the only way you can really understand the world.
What is good? (I know it's not stabbing somebody; that's a start)
What is justice?
What is a woman?
From what I gather about Plato, he believes in objective truths. Because if I had to tell my little sister what a woman is, I would want to make sure it benefits her, her career, her life, her community and as much as possible the human collective.
Clearly, objectivism could lead to fascism.
But that's why you fight things out in the marketplace of ideas.
Because, in reality, if a "woman" is everything, she's actually nothing.
It's the same reason men are failing in life; society has told them that being a man is whatever you want it to be when it’s not.
What Matt Walsh Gets Right
"Women, they are a mysterious thing." - Stephen Hawking
If you watch "What is a Woman?" in full —seriously it's worth your time; and no the Daily Wire doesn't pay me — you'll see Matt Walsh stays objective.
He has an agenda.
Anyone doing anything has an agenda.
But he does an excellent job letting the gender-affirming therapists and professors dig their graves. Case and point:
That clip is the Citizen Kane of postmodernism.
Postmodernism is “a late 20th-century movement characterized by broad skepticism, or relativism; a general suspicion of reason; and an acute sensitivity to the role of ideology in asserting and maintaining political and economic power.”
It is a total loss of common sense and universal truth.
And let me say: postmodernism makes sense for our modern times. Life is confusing. Religion can seem grossly outdated. Everything seems subjective.
But this line of thinking can also lead to the frustrating, nonsensical thinking exhibited in "What is a Woman?"
You need rules.
You have a hierarchy of rules and definitions whether you want to acknowledge it or not; and at the top of that hierarchy is your truth, your God.
What Walsh Got Wrong
What you might call lousy parenting is legal under the law.
On the left, that might mean, to you, transitioning a kid.
The right has its version.
When I lived in Oklahoma, some insane parents would let their kids read 4chan, teach them alt-right conspiracies, and turn them into good little Nazis.
My question is: what is and isn't allowed by parents?
I could be persuaded to say any permanent physical modification of a kid is wrong, but where does that leave life-altering tattoos, piercings, and religious circumcision?
I know. Not the same as gender transition. But where do you draw the line and the state steps in? Should the state ever step in?
Lastly, Walsh overexaggerates the number of kids transitioning and was rightly called out on Joe Rogan for it.
Final Thoughts...
I'm a progressive at heart.
I enjoy hanging out with artists, writers, creators, lunatics, complete psychopaths, and doing drugs (in moderation...).
At the same time, I understand progressivism is deeply flawed.
Nietzche wasn't lying when he said, "God is dead, and we will pay the price." Life without objectivity isn’t possible. Look at the first lead singer of Pink Floyd, Syd Barrett. He did LSD every day for months and was depressed and institutionalized.
And as the old saying goes, "living by no rules is itself a rule."
I don't agree with everything Matt Walsh says — and I’m unsure if he opposes transgenderism in general; I don't think so, but if he does, fuck that. Consenting adults can do whatever they want.
That said, pinning down definitions is so goddamn important.
For the past 300,000 years, we accepted that a woman was an adult female with ovaries, a uterus and all the traits that come with it. If that definition needs a revision, let's do it — with an open, highly offensive, highly entertaining dialogue.

So, What is a Woman?
Well written and provocatively thoughtful. Freedom vs societal obligation. Selfishness vs responsibility. Liberty vs law and order. Government enforcement vs personal morality.
I wonder if we, as a postmodern society, will disentigrate into a Disunited States of America, nobody willing to unselfishly commit to loving and serving their neighbor? Nobody willing to defend the ideas and principles elaborated in the Bill of Rights and the Constitution. Is it just every man and women for him/herself? Locked away and quarantined to our own little bubbles?
I am fighting against that as hard as I know how. Opening my heart and home to as many as need a loving friend and father as I can accommodate.
I keep searching for Good Christian Men who will join me.
It is a long, lonely walk.
As long as I can draw a breath, I will never quit walking it...
