Even the people who like Trump admit he's kinda dumb. He’s a president who acts on his gut, but effectively, Trump is now a confirmed demagogue.

Trump says one thing and does the other:

• There’s no border wall

• There’s no economic relief for middle-class earners

• And we’re now in a new hot war in the Middle East

You can't just attack and bomb Iran, which Trump did, striking Iran's Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan nuclear sites on Saturday, and then call for peace.

You just declared war; there is no going back.

Is Trump retarded?

This Big Mac is leading us into WW3!

Historians might unironically view this as the exact moment that saw the end of the American empire and start of the Chinese.

Here are 3 political takeaways I don’t see anyone talking about…

1. JD Vance is Playing the Good Cop, Don’t Fall For It

After the bombing campaign in Iran, J.D. Vance offered public support for Trump’s leadership, urging MAGA voters not to lose faith. “Sure, we’ve made mistakes in Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan,” he alluded to.

“But Trump isn’t like the others. He’s no dumb president.”

All of this is propaganda. Don’t fall for it.

If anything, it’s a jab at Trump because he is another dumb president.

Remember Iraq? That too started as a Special Military Operation, not a war on terror. Vance is a smart guy. He knows that Trump has split the base and there needs to be a voice of reason. Besides, he’s also the frontrunner for 2028.

Vance is saying: “Please understand. I'm not like those other neocons :)”

The lack of self-awareness is almost comical.

Remember, JD Vance was a never-Trumper. He still hates the guy!

It’s hard to say if Trump made the call to strike Iran, or if he got nudged by Israel or whoever’s really running the country.

Yet if you look at the figures at Trump’s press conference after striking Iran—Sec. State Marco Rubio, Vance, and SecDef Pete Hegseth—it’s as if all of their eyes are mournful of the future chosen tonight.

2. Using Religion to Justify War is Satanic

Arguably, the most disheartening part of Trump’s strikes on Iran is the evangelical MAGA base that is 100% falling for this hook, line & sinker.

Augustine said war was a tragic necessity under certain conditions. A Christian soldier must fight with sorrow, not hatred. Yet when Trump and neocons wave the Bible around for support they do so to whip up hatred among protestants.

This war makes no rational sense unless the goal is to fulfill some messianic prophecy and plunge the world into chaos on Israel’s behalf.

Don't fucking deny it! That's the angle, and it's been the angle for at least 30 years when it comes to Middle East wars. They get the Christians whipped up in a frenzy over Islamic invasion while ignoring our problems in the States.

3. The Liberals Were Right

Call your liberal aunt or that cute barista with a septum ring and a degree in gender studies. Tell her to get the tattoo off her face first!

Trump is a P.T. Barnum carnival barker demagogue who just did the stupidest thing an American president has done since Bush declared war on Iraq.

But here’s the thing: they were right for the wrong reasons.

Trump made an accurate diagnosis in 2016:

• The country is being sold down the river to foreign money

• The border isn’t secure and people who serve two flags are being let in (ironic because that doesn’t just apply to Mexico but Israel too)

• America is in a felt and empirical decline

However, Trump can only speak to those issues.

He doesn’t do shit and has no principles; he’s even attacking Thomas Massie, the most principled congressman in the gov’t:

Love or hate him, Trump did his part in the best way possible back in 2016. He stormed the gates, flipped the script, and made “America First” more than a bumper sticker.

But that revolution was eight years ago.

The real fight now is between the disillusioned and the delusional. Doesn’t matter if you're left or right. If you’ve seen how hollow D.C. is, then it's time to move on and beyond these rigid, dogmatic, Sisyphean political parties.

We will remember tonight as a terrible omen for things to come, especially those that cheerlead this action in their utter ignorance of the consequences.
