"A person’s path through the world seldom changes and even more seldom will it change abruptly."—Anton Chigurh, No Country For Old Men
Trump 2024 is the biggest black pill:
RFK Jr.
Tulsi Gabbard
Kash Patel (who’s 2023 doc Government Gangsters is one of the best you’ll watch)
JD Vance
Who saw this coming? Trump is back, a new America First crew and endless wars are on repeat, cities are neglected, and immigration enforcement is weaker than under Trump 1 or Obama.
Call it a grim déjà vu. It’s like the old saying from political commentator Tom Woods: “No matter who you elect, you still get John McCain.”
Nowhere does that saying hit harder than in the recent Yemen bombing.
They bombed an apartment building? What happened to no new wars?
Now labeling Trump 2.0 as an abject failure ignores that first glorious month. For a moment, the doubters like
wavered, even switching sides.“I was talking to a very worried lib a couple of months before the election. I was like: dude, remember that full-page huge-point headline in the Times? “WHEN DONALD TRUMP SAYS… [long list of hyperbolic threats to libs and libbery] BELIEVE HIM.”
I was like: Trump University? Trump Steaks?
As a writer, after 2020, the idea of trusting Trump to execute (as opposed to his talents as a comedian, prophet, etc) was like… it was like putting your savings in TrumpCoin. Has the man changed? Do men change? And yet—I was wrong.”
Moreover, Trump’s work on DOGE/USAID, the Bitcoin Reserve, JFK Files (where those Epstein files tho…) and FDR-level government overhauls is impressive. But it all pales next to the endless wars, especially since defense spending is tantamount to Saudi Arabia’s GDP or $1.1 trillion.
It’s like Plato said in The Republic: “Sometimes, I leave the cave, but I'm never sure why. Yeah, old Parmenides called it, but nothing changes."
What did Parmenedies say? NOTHING FUCKING CHANGES
Here are two ways Trump is massively screwing the ball in his second term:
1. Another Student Detained for Anti-Israel Opinions
Imagine France propping up America in the 1920s, long after the Revolution, to show they favored someone else over themselves. It’s a strange thought, but it’s what the U.S. is doing for Israel.
And yet, I have nothing against Israel on paper.
Israel emerged victorious in the Six-Day War against the Arab states, dictating terms like all winners do.
But as I wrote in my JFK piece, Israel has had the realpolitik of a drunk man. Israel’s strategy after 1947’s Nakba has been more chaos than clarity. No real two-state effort. A regional arms escalation. Meanwhile, America’s interventions have done more to create Islamic radicals than protect its own citizens.
All of this is hurtling America and Israel into a war with Iran… only two months into Trump. And now all these MAGA-tards are cheering for it.
The Trump administration is also deporting critics of Israel. They’ve gone quiet on the southern border deportations—they’re too low to push the narrative.
Reminder: The Big Bad Liberal Government never once detained, or arrested or deported, an immigrant, whether they were a permanent resident or on a visa, for having any opinion about politics, race, gender, country, sexual preference, class, etc., regardless of how "unwoke" it was.
That's baby commie shit.
We’re essentially in Bush 2.0 foreign policy:
Syed Fahad Hashmi – A U.S. citizen arrested in 2006 and held in solitary confinement for allegedly helping Al-Qaeda, but much of the case rested on his speech and association, not action.
Maher Arar – A Canadian citizen of Syrian descent detained at JFK Airport in 2002 while transiting. U.S. authorities suspected him of terrorist ties (based on faulty info), and deported him to Syria, where he was tortured.
Sign tappers were righter than right, the neocon neoliberal cabal superficially ditched the BlackRock woke campaign to make a new kind of cancel culture.
I want to see some push back to Israel … literally any! Just to know they can do something that we’ll be against.
It reminds me of a 1970 memorandum that Richard Nixon wrote:
"I think as a result of the enormous influence of the Jewish lobby in the United States—not only through its financial contributions to Congressmen and Senators but even more because of its enormous influence through the media—we have often subordinated U.S. security interests to the interests of Israel.”
God knows who will be Vacne’s VP by 2028 but what’s happening will spiral out of control if this is what we’re seeing two months in. Remember the “War on Terror.?” It was fucking stupid!
You all should meditate on this next time you think of running damage control on Trump's warhawk policy and catastrophic betrayals of "no new wars.”
2. Endorsing Lindsay Graham and Bashing Thomas Massie
Kentucky’s Rep. Thomas Massie isn’t just another “America First” cheerleader, he’s a purist and doing it long before Trump. Massie has promoted fiscal discipline and minimal government—even when it isolates him.
His best moment was during Covid when Massie pushed for a recorded vote on the $2.2 trillion relief package, insisting such a massive bill needed transparency. Trump wasn’t pleased, branding him a “third-rate Grandstander” and calling for his expulsion from the GOP. Now Trump is doing that again.
Trump hating on Massie is giving him the same energy the MSM gave Trump by hating him. Trump’s MAGA is just the precursor to Thomas Massie’s MAGA 2028.
Meanwhile, Trump has endorsed forever neocon candidate Lindsay Graham for his upcoming election. The same Lindsay Graham who…
Is a Forever Wars Cheerleader: One of the loudest voices pushing for endless U.S. military intervention—Syria, Libya, Iraq, Afghanistan—while ignoring the cost to American lives and taxpayers.
Ukraine War Hawk: Advocated until recently for sending more U.S. money and weapons to Ukraine with no end in sight.
Flip-Flopper: Famous for switching positions depending on who's in power—staunch anti-Trumper in 2016, loyal lapdog post-2017, then distancing again.
Globalist Neocon Ties: A relic of the Bush-Cheney neoconservative era—supports NATO expansion, global policing, and the military-industrial complex over non-interventionist, nationalist priorities.
Neocons like Lindsay Graham are back in the seat of power under Trump 2.0. Give it several months, and Lindsay Graham will be Defence Secretary.
Final Thought
I’m not so blackpilled to think that nothing good will come under Trump 2.0.
RFK Jr, Tulsi, and Kash Patel have time to prove themselves and I hope they do. But the tough-on-everyone-but-Israel stance reeks of cowardice. Wow… such a big man, JD Vance, standing up to Canada, Europe, and Mexico.
All in all it’s about a fair shake, which critics like Ben Shapiro and Jordan Peterson avoid. They’ll lecture Black communities about crime data without flinching, yet crumble when Israel faces even a hint of critique. It’s weak.
Lastly, nationalism was rising without Trump, but he was the first to facilitate it. Let’s see who’s next to take up the “America First” mantle, but for now I don’t trust anyone in Trump’s admin to succeed him.
I'm with you. This isn't moving in the right direction. I certainly hope I don't end up with egg on my face... actually I don't care about that as much as being duped, again.
Spot on, as always. I have nothing against Israel, either. But Zionists? Yeah, I definitely oppose them. And,I am proud that I was never taken in by Ben Shapiro or Jordan Peterson (even if I do confess to being taken in by Andrew Klavan for a brief time).
